The BIG Recertification Program will be on December 14, 2016.  Registration will open at 7:30 am at the Texas North room. The course will offer 5 CEUs – 1 L&R, 2 IPM, 2 General.  Our first speaker will be Renee Burks, Staff Forester III, Texas Forest Service speaking on “Tree Disease;” she will be followed by Sonja Swiger, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Entomologist discussing the “Prevention and Control of Mosquitoes and the Zika Virus.”  We will take a short 30 minute break to allow you to visit vendors then start again with “Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) and How it Affects You” – Dr. Tom Hairgrove, Extension Veterinarian, Livestock and Food Animals Systems Coord., Texas A&M University.  Participants will attend the noon Mid-Tex luncheon.  Sessions will begin back up at 1:30 pm with “General TDA Laws and Regulations” from Dr. Don Renchie, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Ag & Environmentalist Specialist. Our last speaker of the day is Dr. Todd Sink, Aquaculture & Fisheries Extension Specialist – Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.  Interested persons must RSVP at the McLennan County Extension Office at (254)757-5180.  You can mail your $60 registration to 420 N.
