Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and VirKim will host the annual Central Texas Turf & PCO CEU Workshop at the Hewitt VFW located at 725 Sun Valley Blvd, Hewitt, TX 76643. It is recommended that you pre-register to take advantage of the $50 registration, late registration is $60. The program will begin at 7:30 with registration and conclude at 3:30 pm. Janet Hurley, Extension Program Specialist in IPM will discuss History and Application of Integrated Pest Management Practices; Dr. Mike Merchant, Extension Urban Entomologist will speak on Termite Management and Control as well as Pest Control; Matt Elmore, Extension Turfgrass Specialist will cover Weed Identification and Control as well as Turf Lawn and Ornamentals; Dr. Kevin Ong, Extension Plant Pathologist will speak on Fungal Disease in Lawn and Ornamentals; and Dr. Don Renchie will discuss Laws and Regulations. This program will offer 5 hours for Structural Pest Control Officers (2 General, 1 Pest, 1 Termite and 1 L&O) and 5 hours for TDA (3 General, 1 IPM, and 1 L&R).
